Debris Separation Post-Storm

After a storm, visit our website at www.mymanatee.org/storm and follow our social media accounts on Facebook, X, Nextdoor, and Instagram @manateegov for up-to-date information on storm debris removal, collection deadlines, and any changes to existing collection schedules.

Storm Debris Removal Instructions:

  • Yard waste: Leaves, trees, limbs, and plants. DO NOT place wood fencing with yard waste.

  • Construction material: All fencing, roofing material, fiberboard, metal, cement, pool cages, and screening.

  • Appliances: Air conditioners, empty refrigerators, and empty freezers.

  • Garbage: Household furniture, mattresses, spoiled food, and sandbags.

Important Reminders:

  • DO NOT mix debris types. Mixed debris piles will not be picked up.

  • DO NOT place debris on or near mailboxes, storm drains, water meters, or backflow devices.

  • DO NOT place electronics or hazardous waste at the curb. Information on the proper disposal of electronic and hazardous waste will be shared on our website and social media accounts.

Additional Information:

  • Yard waste, construction material, and appliance collection are for residents only. There will not be storm debris collection for businesses.

  • Residents of the City of Anna Maria, the City of Bradenton, the City of Bradenton Beach, the City of Holmes Beach, the City of Palmetto, the Town of Longboat Key, and Trailer Estates must contact their respective utilities departments for storm debris removal information.
