Contractors interested in participating in our housing rehabilitation and replacement programs can access our current Invitation for Bids (IFB)/Request for Proposals (RFP) and announcements through Neighborly web-based software.  In order to access current jobs, Contractors must first register in Neighborly.  For assistance, please email [email protected] or by phone at (941) 748-4501, extension 3630.

CONTRACTOR FAQ

How will I get paid?

You will submit a payment request to Manatee County Community and Veterans Services Department through the Neighborly Software for processing. Once payment is approved, you will receive a check issued by the Manatee County Clerk of the Court. This process takes about 25 days. (Payment is not made by the homeowner.)

How am I selected to receive the bid award?

Once all bids are reviewed for completeness, eligible rehab bids are awarded to the lowest most responsive bid. Eligible replacement projects are chosen by the homeowner.

Can I make a profit?

Yes. There is a project maximum that will be indicated in the Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, but you bid our projects as you would any other project.

Do I execute a contract with the homeowner?

Yes, you will execute a contract with the homeowner.

How do I bid on projects?

You will need to attend the Information Conference to be eligible to bid. You will have to sign up in Neighborly to submit a bid.

How do I get on the list to be notified of upcoming bids?

How long do I have to complete the project?

180 days for a rehab and 245 days for a replacement from the date of Notice to Proceed issuance.
