Manatee County created the Development Review Manual with the goal of providing a streamlined process of submitting planning applications. Part I of the Manual was published in January 2020 after Board review and outlines the development review process. Part II was completed in October 2020, and provides detailed instructions of the requirements of each type of planning application. Below is a broken down guide to assist you in collecting all required documents prior to submitting your application in Accela. TEMPORARY BACKFLOW DEVICES AND NEW RESIDENTIAL WATER METER FORMS

Private Provider

If you are a contractor using the same private provider for all of your inspections,  it may be beneficial for you to make the private provider a delegate on your account. This allows the private provider to access all of your records. 

Deferred Documents Instructions

To streamline the review process, Development Services will now require all customers to upload their deferred documents through their Online Services account. 

The customer will no longer be required to email these documents for zoning and building reviews. Once the deferred documents are uploaded into the appropriate document type, the appropriate reviewers will then be notified. Vendors that send documents directly to Development Services will need to create an Online Services User account and will need to be designated as a delegate on the record. This will give them access to upload into the records.
