The following parks and preserves have canoe/kayak launches:
Bennett Park
Access the launch site on gravel path from parking area to the creek. A winding marsh lined creek leads out to the Manatee River.
Bunker Hill Park
A fixed dock leads out to a floating dock with two accessible kayak launch slides. This is a small, quiet lake.
Emerson Point Preserve
There are two places to launch within the preserve. The first is located approximately 6/10 of a mile from the entrance. This launch has a wooden dock and the Blueway Trail meanders through mangrove tunnels until you reach Terra Ceia Bay. The second launch site is the beach located at the western end of the preserve. The launch at this site provides access to the mouth of the Manatee River and Terra Ceia Bay.
Fort Hamer Park
Located on the banks of the upper Manatee River, the dock is next to the Fort Hamer Rowing Facility.
Jiggs Landing Preserve
Launch into Braden River from small beach area or ramp or stationary dock.
Robinson Preserve
The launch is available near the entrance to the preserve. The Blueways Trails connect to the Manatee River, Perico Bayou, and Palma Sola Bay, comprising over 3 miles of internal trails. A 5-mile roundtrip adventure would start at the launch and meander through the preserve to Palma Sola Bay and back.
Rye Preserve
The launch is located on the Red Trail. Start at the main parking area and follow the trail down the steps to the water's edge. The launch site provides access to the Manatee River.
