General Guidelines
All donations accepted must be gently used, be in “like new” condition, and be easily repaired, maintained, and/or cleaned and sanitized. For example, we must be able to make minor repairs such as – tightening screws, replacing rubber tips on canes and crutches, etc.
Items Accepted
- Any regular metal DME items that have a surface that can be sanitized with solution, e.g. canes, walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, commodes, toilet seats, shower chairs
- Nebulizer systems that can have the outside sanitized and filters/accessories replaced
- Orthopedic boots and braces that show very little to no wear or dirt and can very easily be cleaned
- Urinary or bowel control products like Depends
- Bed protection pads
- Oxygen tubing and masks in sealed packages
- Any unopened medical supplies such as catheters, bandages, colostomy supplies, diabetic supplies such as lancets and test strips
Not Accepted
- Pillows without plastic covering
- Upholstered items
- CPAP and BiPAP machines
- Oxygen Concentrators
- Anything that is obviously very old and soiled or has foreign substances (hair, mold, mildew, etc.) covering a large portion of the surface
- Anything that is severely cracked or rusted and may be structurally compromised or beyond basic repair
- Prosthetics or items fitted for a specific user
- Personal prescription medications
- Food or clothes
- Broken or incomplete equipment
- Hazardous materials
- Expired items or items that expire within one year
